'A' is for Architecture


One of the neat things about spending time in a country that is more than 223 years old is that you get to see more than 'Colonial', 'Victorian', and 'Modern' architectural styles.   There were some outstanding examples of gothic architecture in Landshüt as demonstrated by this magnificent facade.

This building, called the statzresidence, was the first renaissance style building built north of the Alps (factoid courtesy of Fodor's guidebook).
