Munchin' in München

I did manage to get out to Munich (München in German) one evening.  It was getting dark as we got there so I didn't get a chance to take very many pictures.  This one, however, did manage to capture one of the striking features of the city.  Many of the buildings that were re-built after W.W.II were not re-built in the same architectural style as the ones that they were replacing.  You can see that in the background of this picture, the building on the right looks much more modern than the building on the left.

This is the last one I was able to shoot before it got too dark to take pictures any more.

This particular building was facing a square which had this funny scaffolded structure apparently shrouded in burlap.  Later that evening there were people going in and out of it so we stopped and asked what it was.  Turns out it was a "sound sculpture" and one could go up inside it and experience the artwork.  So, we did...
